QUALIFICATION: BTEC NATIONAL FOUNDATION DIPLOMA IN PHOTOGRAPHY
This creative Photography course has an emphasis on photography as an art form, focusing on lens based and digital-media. You will use the camera as a tool to develop your visual thought processes as well as your creative and critical abilities. It is essential you have a passion for the subject and a desire to work independently as this is expected. Throughout the course, you will develop skills, resources and opportunities to produce imaginative work in a range of lens-based and post-production media. You will be introduced to expert techniques in both Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator (CS6) You will be taught the skills of professional photography and explore the various scenarios in which your work will be applied.

This qualification is equivalent to an A-Level.
40% Assignments and 60% Controlled Assessment.
1. Assignments: Set and marked by the centre and externally moderated. Students complete a series of practical, tasks set in a work-related scenario.
2. Controlled Assessment: Set and marked by the exam board. Students respond to a pre-released brief or complete an online examination.
