Introduction to Government & Politics

QUALIFICATION: AQA - AS & A-LEVEL IN GOVERNMENT AND POLITICS

Politics is a subject that both unites and divides people. Often, it unites us in things that affect us such as health, education, war, peace and law and order, but divides us when faced with questions on how to deal with these things in practise. If you like to debate and have an interest in current affairs or like to work in fast changing environment, Government and Politics are subjects for you.

Vocational Progression

A university degree in a politics or a related subject.

Unit 2 – Governing Modern Britain.
The process of governing the UK from local to European level.
Britain’s unique constitution.
The process of government and balancing individual rights and the power of the state.
The role of Westminster.
