Learning Environment
Significant investment has gone in to ensuring that the Sixth Form provides students with a positive learning environment through high quality facilities and resources. There is a staffed Sixth Form learning resource area that includes computer facilities, library and conference room. A specialist Post 16 Progress Mentor delivers a study skills programme and supervises a large study space and offers support and guidance to students in relation to their studies and progression in the future.

The Sixth Form Centre is fully installed with wireless technology which allows students to use their own laptop computers or Sixth Form laptops.

A new Sixth Form Bistro has recently opened which offers a modern diner so students can buy a wide range of food, drinks and snacks from 8.30 – 2.45pm. Students can also use this pleasant area to either relax or study.
Since Specialist Status the school now has the Desmond Wilcox Media Centre, which has a professional recording studio, radio broadcasting facilities, a dedicated Media Studies, ICT classroom and state of the art Music Technology classroom. Elsewhere, many specialist areas of the school site have been refurbished such as the Art faculty which includes Fine Art, Art Graphics and Photography. There is a Performing Arts Dance Studio and Arts Theatre that supports the growth in Theatre Studies, Drama and Dance.

The school has good sporting facilities with a gymnasium, sports hall, weights room, hard court playing and outdoor pitches.
