Enrichment

Students are encouraged to take advantage of the wide range of enrichment opportunities, activities and events on offer. We encourage students to broaden their horizons and get involved in as many different activities as they can.
A Year 12 Sixth Form Induction Programme at an Outdoor Adventure site allows student’s to develop key transferable skills such as teamwork, communication, leadership, co-operation and confidence.
We encourage students to lead a healthy lifestyle, stay safe and contribute in a positive way to the Sixth Form Centre, school and the wider community.
At a local level:
Students carry out voluntary work with local schools, residential homes and organisations such as Barnado’s.
At a national level:
Students support national events and days and raise funds to support good causes and charities.

At an international level:
Students have the opportunity to be involved in a overseas expedition with World Challenge. In 2007 a World Challenge team went to Sri Lanka and in 2009 a team spent 4 weeks inThailand. The expeditions involve trekking, a community project and a rest and relaxation phase. Both the teams renovated a remote rural school and worked with the local communities.
All the students said the experience was both incredibly valuable and life changing.
