PSHE at Rainhill Sixth Form
On a Wednesday week A, Period 3, all Year 12 and 13 students at Rainhill Sixth Form attend a PSHE session. This is delivered via your form tutor. We prize these session as, not only do we want you to be academically brilliant, we also want you to be a well-rounded global citizen who can thrive.
We make sure all PSHE topics are relevant to Sixth Form age students, covering such things as:
- Leadership styles;
- Linkedin and the use of digital technology in securing employment;
- Car maintenance and driver safety;
- Alcohol and drug awareness;
- Body positivity and the media;
- Consent and the law;
- Human Rights.
Alongside this, we also support the whole school in their themed PSE days, for example, the Anthony Walker Memorial Day and Holocaust Memorial Day.
Each year, we develop our PSHE programme to meet the needs of our current cohorts and global situation.
