UCAS Contextual Statement
Rainhill Sixth Form Centre is a small Sixth form which is attached to a larger than average High School. The majority of students are of white British heritage and the school has a lower than national average of pupil premium students. The number of students with SEN or disabilities is in line with the national average. The intake at KS5 is usually below or line with national average. Students are able to select three subjects which can come from a range of academic or vocational qualifications. The majority of students are encouraged to follow either an academic pathway or a vocational pathway but in some cases students can study a combination of both. Currently all qualifications are offered at level 3. For students following academic courses the school’s policy has been not to certificate for AS although exceptions are made for individual circumstances.
